Set along the scenic shores of Lady Bird Lake, the Hyatt Regency Austin offers sweeping views of the downtown skyline and a connection to the city’s vibrant spirit. In April 2025, Continental Contractors began a five-month renovation of the hotel’s guestrooms, suites, and corridors – refreshing interiors with modern finishes and thoughtful details that bring renewed comfort and refined style to this landmark property in the heart of Austin.
The guestrooms and suites received a complete transformation, featuring new paint, wallcoverings, and carpet, as well as modern lighting that brightens and elevates each space. Custom-upholstered headboards and tailored window valances add a touch of sophistication, while carefully selected finishes introduce the warmth and texture of Austin’s natural surroundings.
Bathrooms were revitalized with new sinks, faucets, and plumbing fixtures, complemented by deep steam cleaning to restore the original luster of existing tile. Two premium suites were further enhanced with redesigned kitchenettes featuring striking tile fronts, elegant stone countertops, and upgraded fixtures – creating a boutique-style experience within the larger hotel.
Corridors were refreshed with new carpet, wallcoverings, and paint, along with newly framed millwork around door drops for a clean, cohesive finish. Accessibility updates included the addition of new railing posts to meet ADA standards and the renovation of 14 guestrooms with fully compliant bathrooms, ensuring comfort and accessibility for all guests.
Through expert craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, Continental Contractors delivered a renovation that balances modern design with lasting functionality – enhancing the guest experience and complementing the distinctive, creative character of downtown Austin. The project was completed in September 2025.
