JW Marriott Buckhead

Atlanta, GA

BUDGET: $6.6 million
OWNER: Host Hotels & Resorts, LP

Located in the heart of the popular Buckhead neighborhood —home to art galleries, restaurants, and nightlife, this JW Marriott was one of the first to incorporate the new brand standard in the states. Guestroom renovations reflect the upscale urban warmth that has become the hallmark of the brand, allow guests to feel at home while being pampered in luxurious surroundings. New flooring, drapery installation, paint, case goods, light fixtures and artwork enhance this rich 371-guestroom upgrade. Guest bathrooms were updated with all new finishes including tile, vanity tops, sinks/faucets and glass showers. Continental also upgraded the 25th floor executive concierge lounge.

While the renovation was put on hold in early 2020 due to the onset of the COVID pandemic, Continental developed a comprehensive plan detailing health and safety procedures and protocols to prevent, identify, and mitigate any outbreaks. Through diligence, and adherence to safety, and coordination with property staff and the owner’s representative, JLL, not one member of team contracted COVID in the six months it took to complete the project.
