Tucked away along Northern California’s stunning coast, the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay offers secluded and luxurious resort accommodations for California locals and world travelers alike. Boasting lush, rolling hills, farm land, and state parks, the Half Moon Bay Coastside delivers serenity and beauty at every turn.
In November 2023, Continental Contractors launched a six-month transformation of the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, transforming 261 guest rooms and suites across the main building and three guest houses. Teams of skillfully trained craftspeople and project managers worked diligently to bring the design team’s vision of “redesigned elegance” to life throughout the Forbes Five-Star property.
During the renovation, the suites were beautifully enhanced with exquisite herringbone-patterned white oak hardwood flooring. Select suites feature elegant free-standing tubs, while others showcase sophisticated glass-surround showers for an added touch of luxury. The renovation also introduced a rich array of custom marble and stone, including Solstice Honed Marble and intricate waterjet mosaic inlays showcased throughout bathrooms, entry ways, and living spaces. The guest rooms also received updated stone and tile in the bathrooms and entries, further enhancing the overall guest experience.
Additional project highlights include new plumbing fixtures and refined bath accessories that elevate the overall aesthetic, while fresh paint, new vinyl, and carpeting significantly revitalize the space. Textured fabrics and rich leather accents contribute to a serene and sophisticated ambiance that perfectly complements the breathtaking bay views. Expertly installed millwork and wall paneling surrounds add an extra touch of elegance to select suites. The total renovation spanned six months and was completed in February 2024.
