Situated in the beautiful coastal landscape of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel sits atop the sands of Old Silver Beach in Old Falmouth. The property’s serene location, coupled with the intrinsic beauty of this 110-year-old “matron-by-the-sea,” sets the stage for relaxation, romance, and family traditions to be enjoyed year after year.
As the only beachfront resort in Upper Cape Cod, the Sea Crest has long been a popular summer vacation destination for Massachusetts locals and tourists alike. In order to deliver on the luxury expectations of the hotel’s guests, Continental was hired to complete a full renovation of 122 guestrooms and several public spaces within the property, tasked with the challenge of updating the quaint but outdated space without compromising on the charm and character the building has become known for.
The 2021-2022 renovations were scheduled in phases over the course of three months to better accommodate the hotel’s peak occupancy times. All guestrooms and corridors in buildings 1-6 and building 8 were completely renovated with new paint, furnishings, décor, dry bars, flooring, bathroom vanities, updated mirrors, and plumbing fixtures. The hotel lobby renovation was inspired by the surrounding beaches and coastal vibes of the community, marrying light and dark woods with cool blues and soothing whites as well as incorporating nautical rope, luxury vinyl tiling, and intricate wood wall detailing. In addition to the guestrooms and lobby remodel, the fitness center also received new paint, flooring, and gym equipment.
By taking extreme care of detail, facilitating open communication, and efficiently scheduling each renovation phase, Continental successfully achieved its objective of making what was once old feel – and look – new again.
