The Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile resides at one of the most remarkable addresses in a city full of iconic buildings. Designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier, the award-winning building finished construction in 2003. The faceted prism shape and elegant lines influenced the guestroom design for this Continental renovation, collaborating with designer Remington and Premier Project Management (formerly Remington Hospitality).
In addition to new paint, vinyl wallcovering, carpet, furniture and window treatments, the existing maplewood millwork was carefully refinished and updated networking and tech amenities were added in each of the 415 guestrooms. Purposely functional and elegantly modern, the new geometric patterns within the guestroom design evoke the elegant lines of the building.
