St. Regis San Francisco
San Francisco, CA
BUDGET: $10.8 million
OWNER: QIA SR San Francisco Operating LLC c/o Qatar Holding LLC
The renovation, completed by Continental Contractors in early 2020, refitted the customized cased goods and soft goods, in the property’s 260 rooms and suites, exclusive to the hotel. The California Gold Rush of 1849 that put San Francisco on the map is referenced throughout by a color palette of silver, copper, and iron. Guestrooms received new paint, vinyl wallcovering, and carpet and guest bathroom vanities were refurbished. In an effort to wed historic milestones to contemporary sensibility, a convenient new Honeywell/Inncom system, which controls individual guestroom lighting, roller shades, and temperature, was installed in all guestrooms. Meeting areas received all new finishes, creating refined, comfortable, and innovative spaces designed to facilitate conversation and collaboration. Continuing to balance traditional and contemporary, the new custom carpet in the ballroom features a modern, earthy abstract pattern with unexpected bursts of color that ideally complements the room’s magnificent chandelier. With the renovation complete, the St. Regis San Francisco continues to be the crowning jewel of the Yerba Buena cultural corridor, and is proximate to Union Square, the financial district, and the Moscone Convention Center. This project was completed utilizing 100% union labor.
