Situated against a two and a half mile stretch of beautifully landscaped waterfront, the Westin San Antonio is located near the popular Downtown Pearl District and steps away from the historic Alamo and the Spanish Governor’s Palace. Although close to restaurants and nightlife, this luxury hotel was designed with the city’s rich history and legacy in mind, welcoming guests with its warm and inviting interior.
Continental had the pleasure of completing a nine-month public space renovation at the Westin Riverwalk San Antonio beginning in August 2022. Renovated spaces include: the hotel restaurant and bar, a new business center, a revitalized fitness center, and four sets of public restrooms. Project scope included a diverse array of special finishes throughout, including intricately plastered scalloped walls, an array of distinct window and door glazing solutions, and the installation of various stone types during construction of the bar area.
The restaurant and bar area was designed to be a focal point for the property. Continental installed new millwork, wood flooring, and an extensive amount of new tile and stone. The bar was relocated for the design, creating an immersive indoor-outdoor integration between the patio of the bar and the San Antonio Riverwalk. The interior of the restaurant and bar also feature beautifully designed, intimate alcoves.
Continental installed new flooring, millwork, new doors and windows in the lobby’s newest attraction – a brand new business center with flexible seating options. The Fitness Center received a refresh with new millwork, flooring, and wallcoverings. Continental also conducted the renovation of four public restrooms on the property which included all new plumbing, fixtures, and finishes. The project was completed in May 2023.
