At Continental Contractors, the work we’re most proud of is never the result of one person alone – it’s built through teamwork, collaboration, resilience, and the camaraderie our teams bring to every project and every challenge. We created the Continental Contractors Annual Awards to celebrate this foundational tenet. We began the tradition as a way to pause, reflect on the year behind us, and recognize the people whose actions strengthen our culture and move our company forward. We’re happy to continue the tradition this year!

Launched in 2024 by Director of HR Allyson Fisher, the Continental Contractors Annual Awards program was designed to formalize something that already happens every day at Continental – peer-to-peer recognition. While leadership recognition matters, the most meaningful moments often come from colleagues who see the effort up close: the teammate who steps in without being asked, the steady hand who keeps a job on track, or the person who consistently leads with humility and integrity. With nominations and heartfelt comments coming directly from fellow employees, the Annual Awards celebrate impact in a way that’s authentic to who we are.

Now in its second year, we’re excited to recognize a new group of award recipients for 2025. Nominated by their colleagues, these team members have been recognized as going  above and beyond in their contributions to Continental’s success and continue to set the standard for what it means to be part of this organization.

Without further ado, here are the 2025 Continental Contractors’ Annual Award Winners:

2025 Founders Award: Dan Sciortino, Project Executive

Thank you for the honor of this award and to everyone who nominated me. I’ve been lucky to work with a lot of talented and dedicated people here, and I see this as a team recognition more than anything else. Any credit that comes my way is a reflection of the crews and coworkers who show up, support each other, and get the job done well. I’m proud to be part of Continental Contractors, and I appreciate the trust you’ve given me over the years.”
— Dan Sciortino, Project Executive

2025 Impact Award – Office: Hailey Marchyshyn, Project Manager

Gratefulness only begins to describe how I feel earning this award. I am incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to combine my passions of the construction and hospitality industries, into a career that I love and is more fulfilling than I dreamed. Although, to earn this award, is to also share it with my colleagues and teammates. To work as a team is to learn from each other, struggle and succeed together, much as a family does. I am blessed to be a part of the Continental Contractors family and continue to look forward to many more years and exciting projects.”
– Hailey Marchyshyn, Project Manager

2025 Impact Award – Field: Vincent Parga, Senior Superintendent

I was honestly shocked and didn’t expect to receive this award at all. I couldn’t do this job, or earn something like this, without the people I work with every day. From the PMs and APMs to my teammates and our subcontractors, everyone makes coming to work feel easy. The support and teamwork make a huge difference. There’s no other company I would rather work for, and I plan on retiring here.”
— Vincent Parga, Senior Superintendent

To everyone who took the time to nominate a teammate – thank you. Your thoughtful submissions are what make the Continental Contractors Annual Awards meaningful, and they’re a powerful reminder that our culture is shaped not just by the work we do, but by how we show up for one another along the way.

Across this year’s nominations, a few themes rose to the top again and again: mentorship, professionalism, and respect – for teammates, vendors, and every partner involved in delivering great projects. We also heard repeated examples of team members staying cool under pressure, stepping in with practical problem-solving, bringing a positive attitude, and being willing to explain, teach, and share knowledge so others can succeed. Just as importantly, the nominations highlighted the value of open communication and true collaboration, the essential day-to-day behaviors that keep jobs moving forward and keep teams strong.

Congratulations again to our 2025 award recipients, and thank you to everyone who took the time to help spotlight the impact happening across Continental every day. As we head into the year ahead, we look forward to witnessing the way each of our team members will carry this same energy forward, showing up for each other, raising the bar, and delivering the kind of work we can all stand behind.
