Continental Contractors is proud to unveil the impressive results of the extensive renovation at the Four Seasons Residence Club, Aviara in Carlsbad, California. With a design vision centered on a fresh, sophisticated California coastal style, Continental Contractors transformed the property’s guest villas, clubhouse, fitness center, locker rooms, sauna, and Summit Pool & Lounge into a vibrant and inviting retreat.

In October 2023, Continental began work on an extensive, multi-faceted renovation at the Four Seasons Residence Club, Aviara, a fully furnished vacation home property complete with luxurious accommodations. With a design vision centered on a fresh, sophisticated California coastal style, Continental transformed the property’s guest villas, clubhouse, fitness center, locker rooms, sauna, and Summit Pool & Lounge into a vibrant and inviting retreat.

Of the property’s 244 villas that were refreshed, 131 received a complete kitchen overhaul with: top-tier appliances, elegant Quartzite countertops, custom tile backsplashes, and an extensive millwork package that was custom designed and installed to complement the refined new aesthetic. Throughout the villas, new luxury flooring and lighting were installed, as well as upgraded plumbing fixtures, new paint, vinyl wallcoverings, and plush carpet insets – every detail executed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

The property transformation extended well beyond the villas. Public space areas were also given a much needed refresh. The lounge and pool area were thoughtfully updated to reflect the property’s relaxed coastal character, while also improving functionality and guest comfort. The recreation clubhouse was also upgraded and now welcomes guests with a bold, contemporary entrance and refreshed interiors featuring new furnishings and modern fixtures. The adjacent fitness center – another favorite guest amenity – was entirely reimagined with new strength and cardio equipment, and the locker rooms were renovated from top to bottom. The original steam rooms were converted into dry saunas, enhancing the wellness offerings of the club.

At the poolside bar, Continental Contractors delivered a seamless blend of style and utility. The bar now features a sleek new stone countertop, custom cabinetry, expanded seating, and a newly integrated pass-through window that connects directly to the poolside kitchen. 

The project was conducted in phases between October 2023 and May 2025 for a total of 14 months. In spite of some challenges – delivery delays of essential items and a fully operational property during renovations – the team stayed focused on the goal at hand: finishing the project on schedule and delivering a beautiful result. Thanks to expert communication and project management, the renovation was completed ahead of schedule. “Finishing such a complex project ahead of schedule was only possible because of the great working relationship between Continental Contractors and the Four Seasons’ Team,” said Project Executive Steve Wilson. “It really was an ideal partnership from start to finish.”
