In October 2024, Continental Contractors began work on a large-scale renovation at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, a well-known oceanfront property on Florida’s southeastern coast. Situated on a quarter-mile stretch of private beach, the resort’s design vision called for blending its stunning natural surroundings with refreshed, modern interiors.

The six-month project encompassed 650 guestrooms, suites, and public event spaces. In the guestrooms, the Continental team installed custom murals, new vinyl wallcoverings, and fresh paint, while deep-cleaning tile flooring to restore its original finish. Lighting upgrades included the addition of modern sconces and sleek entry fixtures, creating a brighter and more contemporary feel.

Suite renovations went a step further, with updated plumbing and bathroom fixtures, new millwork and stone finishes for the kitchenettes, and other enhancements to showcase the property’s floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies overlooking the Atlantic.

 

Public spaces were also given a complete update. Ballrooms received sculptural glass and bronze light fixtures, elegant new sconces, woven carpets, and wall coverings inspired by the local landscape. Event spaces were outfitted with new furniture and nature-inspired artwork, all carefully coordinated to complement the refreshed interiors.
